Please feel free to read below & learn all about me and my small little photo business!  I hope it inspires you to have us meet & start our fun and  artistic journey together.

BIOGRAPHY

My name is Stephanie Redfern-Payne.  I started Kekepania Design & Photography over 10 years ago with my husband, Kevin Payne, when I moved back to the Jersey Shore from traveling across the country.  Out on the road, I re-discovered my passion & lot in life ... Photography. So I decided to move back home & go back to school. I started attending Ocean County College & soon after, became sort of a teacher's pet to the photography & graphic design faculty team. I spent every extra second I could in their darkrooms, professional lighting studios, & computer studios, developing & creating the art that would soon define my most unique & sought after style! By the time I graduated, I was on the Dean's List, Honor Roll & also won awards for my photography!!! Like my "Sheldom Linz Award" for the most outstanding study in the field of photography.  I also was awarded scholarships to continue my studies. I decided to get my Bachelors Degree at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where only 35 students a semester are selected for my specific program. I completed an extensive art portfolio and even completed a minor in Art History by the time I finished!! Now a few years later, I continue my passion, creating wonderful works of art and doing what I love most...creating art!!  ​

KEKEPANIA HISTORY

Now, I'm sure you may be wondering where my business name comes from...Well, I decided on the name Kekepania Design because of my obsession with Hawaii....Kekepania is actually my name, Stephanie, in Hawaiian.  I have been fortunate enough to visit there 5 times in my life, each time bringing home unbelievably exquisite & colorful photographs.  I absolutely love landscape photography & travel the world in search for that perfect photograph!!! Hence why I traveled the country before college:) But as much as I love landscape photography, portrait & fashion photography are not far behind, in my polls:) I also have developed a passion for stationary & album design.  So whatever your needs are, I'm sure I'll have you covered. All along the side of this page is an example of all the different types of work I have experienced and then some.  Also feel free to visit my PORTFOLIO page for even more examples of my work...I hope you enjoy what I have to offer!
